About
Meet Gavin — The Multi-Talented Entrepreneur
Gavin Konopka is a hardworking and driven young entrepreneur and athlete. Turning 16 this July, he attends East Bay High School while successfully running his lawn care business, Paradise Bay Lawns (formerly K6 Kutz). Gavin balances his academic life with a passion for track & field, baseball, football, and fitness.
Gavin’s Background and Family Support
Growing up in an entrepreneurial family, Gavin learned the value of hard work early. Both his parents, Adam and Nikki Konopka, have been great role models. Gavin’s dad provides guidance and encouragement in his business and sports endeavors, while his mom motivates him through a focus on healthy living. His grandmother also plays a key mentoring role.
A Young Entrepreneur’s Journey
Gavin began mowing lawns at just 8 years old. At 14, he launched his first formal business, K6 Kutz, serving neighbors door-to-door in his community by pushing his equipment down sidewalks and streets. Today, Gavin focuses on providing personalized lawn care services in the Waterset community with great attention to detail and pride in his work.
He prefers the quality results of a walk-behind mower over speedier ride-on machines, showing his commitment to top-notch service.
Balancing Sports and Business
An accomplished athlete, Gavin has played baseball since age 12, focusing on center field. He recently began running track, competing in pole vault regionals, and is exploring football. His ability to juggle sports and business demonstrates remarkable dedication.
In his free time, Gavin enjoys fishing, going to the beach, and practicing parkour, always staying active and motivated.
Financial Responsibility and Future Goals
Gavin manages his business earnings wisely, saving 70%, spending 20%, and donating 10%. He is saving for a car and future education, embodying financial discipline uncommon for his age.
